After more than 26 years of marriage, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos still know how to spice up their sex life.
In fact, the longtime couple found steamy ways to stay connected when they were filming in different cities during the pandemic. As Kelly—who is now co-hosting Live! with her husband in New York following Ryan Seacrest's exit—explained on her Let's Talk Off Camera podcast, "We had rituals."
"We had sexual rituals that were so ludicrous," she recalled on the March 21 episode, "but I became so alarmed at my appearance over FaceTime that I started hanging the computer on a ladder, so that I could look up to Mark [and] he did not have to see what gravity was actually doing."
The 52-year-old added she and Mark, a guest on the episode, also wore special electronic bracelets that "would let us know that the other person was thinking about them."
"Any time I touch my bracelet, his bracelet in Vancouver would touch him, would vibrate," Kelly explained, prompting the Riverdale alum to note, "It's really nice."
So, how much does sex play into their relationship? For Mark, cutting it out cold turkey "could be a potential dealbreaker."
As he shared with Kelly, "If you just decided like, 'Yeah, we aren't having sex anymore,' I'd probably have a problem with that."
However, the 51-year-old noted he much prefers the intimacy behind sex—something that he figured out through therapy. "I'm going to blame it on the fact that I traveled so much, so a lot had to happen in the time that I was home," he explained how he came to the revelation. "I wanted to get the intimacy in and the sex in, so they became one and the same."
That may explain why Mark has no interest in makeup sex, too. "I don't like drama," he said. "I don't need to have makeup sex. I'd rather not do that."
As for Kelly? "That is fun sex though," she quipped. "That's a good kind to have."
